Idaho Supreme: Injuries Suffered in Car Accident While Employee Was Driving Back from Required IME Were Compensable
The Idaho Supreme Court, reversing a decision by the Idaho Industrial Commission, has ruled that there was a "significant causal connection" between injuries an employee suffered in a car accident while she was driving back to her home from a required independent medical examination and her employment and, therefore, that they were compensable under Idaho's workers' compensation law. Read More

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, in a decision written by Judge Richard A. Posner, has affirmed a $726,000 award in favor of an insurance company – that included its attorneys' fees – in a case involving the insurer's challenge to so-called "stranger-originated life insurance." Read More
