The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, affirming a decision of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, has ruled that the widow of an active-duty soldier who died in a weekend motorcycle accident while off base and not on duty was not entitled to recover insurance benefits under a policy that excluded coverage for active members of the military.
