A federal district court in Georgia has denied an insurance carrier’s request for the attorney’s fees and costs it incurred in an interpleader action it began to resolve competing claims by homeowners and their mortgagee to proceeds from an insurance policy, finding that the insurer should have expected “that a dispute over title and insurance proceeds” would “arise with some regularity in its course of business.” Read More
