Judge Richard Posner, writing for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, has affirmed a district court decision under Wisconsin law requiring a life insurance company to pay out on a life insurance policy even if the beneficiary did not have an insurable interest in the life of the insured. Judge Posner also affirmed the district court's decision that the insurer had acted in bad faith. Read More
