11 Years After Katrina, FEMA Told It Should Recover $3.4 Million of $3.5 Million Awarded to Hope Academy
Hope Academy in D’Iberville, Mississippi, received a Federal Emergency Management Agency public assistance award of $3.5 million for damages Hurricane Katrina caused in August 2005. Now, the Office of Inspector General for the Department of Homeland Security has issued a report concluding that FEMA should recover $3.4 million of the $3.5 million award. Read More
