The Nevada Supreme Court has ruled that federal law did not preempt a Nevada law providing for a superpriority lien by a homeowners' association on up to nine months of unpaid association dues even where the first deed of trust on the property was insured through the Federal Housing Administration.  Read More

A federal district court in Connecticut has ruled that an insurance company did not have to defend a lawsuit stemming from an auto accident involving a rental vehicle where the admissible evidence indicated that the driver of the rental vehicle did not have the renter's permission to drive the car while the renter was in a restaurant.  Read More
