Insurer Must Pay Interest Awarded as Part of State Court Judgment Against Insured, Plus Section 1961 Interest on that Interest, Federal Court Decides
A federal district court has ruled, after a state court judgment against the insured that provided for $1,720.20 per day in interest and after a jury verdict against the insurance company in the subsequent coverage case, that the insurer was obligated to pay the full $1,720.20 per day in interest - plus interest at the federal rate on the full amount of the judgment. Read More

"Your Work" Exclusions Did Not Bar Coverage for Claims that Construction Manager Damaged Other Contractors' Work, New York District Court Decides
A federal district court in New York has ruled that the "your work" exclusions in a commercial general liability insurance policy did not bar coverage of claims that the insured, while acting as a "construction manager," had damaged other contractors' work, although the court found that the underlying plaintiffs had a "heavy burden" to demonstrate the portion of the judgment that they had obtained against the insured that actually was covered by the policy. Read More
