Virginia Law Did Not Preclude Insurer from Disclaiming Coverage for Damage to Plane Piloted by Person Not on Policy's Approved List, Fourth Circuit Decides
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, affirming a decision by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, has ruled that an aircraft's owner could not recover from his insurer for damage that occurred while his aircraft was being piloted by someone not named and approved in the policy—notwithstanding a Virginia law that, he argued, voided that policy provision. Read More
