The audit report states that the teacher's pension fund is HEALTHY. It is financially sound. http://www.michigan.gov/docume... You might find it interesting to note that the fund has over 836,000 shares of APPLE which means over a $200 million increase in assets since September. It would be nice if legislators started making honest data based decisions. It would be even nicer if legislators would give the current reforms a chance to take effect. Personally I believe this is the end of public education. For profit institutions will be the norm.
